Working in an existing pair
===========================

If you are working with a partner you worked with previously on a
past assignment, you will both need to register as a pair for the assignment,
but you will not need to get a new repository.

Getting started
---------------

Here are steps necessary to register as a pair and use a
previously-created pair repository

#. Follow the `chisubmit instructions for registering as a pair <../../chisubmit.html#registering-as-a-pair>`__.

#. Run ``git pull`` to make sure your local copy of your pair repository is in sync with the server and ``git pull upstream master`` to pick up the assignment distribution. If you have *not* already done so, please follow the instructions for setting up a local copy of your pair repository from the `instructions for working in new pairs <startup-pair.rst>`__.
